Hi, my name is Margaux (yes with an X, yes it’s French spelling).  And yes, I have spelled it a lot in my life!!  But what’s the story of why I do, what I do? HealScapes has been born out of a driving desire to connect people to nature, creativity and themselves.

Being human can be pretty tough! I have had hard times as I have travelled through life.  Family estrangement, significant cancer, severe injuries, corporate burnout, marriage breakdown, heartbreaking loss.  But being a human can also be pretty wonderful and I have also found the lightness, joy in connection, calm in creativity and fun in playfulness!

But, what’s a HealScape?  HealScapes, short for ‘Healing Landscapes’, came out of my grounding as a Landscape Architect, but knowing I wanted to do more.  More heart lead offerings.  More sweetness.  More peace.  So as I create a peaceful and joyful life for myself, I want to offer that to others.  Because really, life is all about our health and wellbeing and caring for each other.  And if we can do that in a space that also cares for county, the environment, our community’s and sparks our creativity – then life gets more kind, fun and peaceful!

So, what’s on offer.  As well as Landscape Consultation on design and development for health and well-being grounded projects.  I am a certified Forest Bathing Guide (sharing the very special practice of slow sensory walks in nature).  I facilitate Creative Workshops that focus on fun and feeling rather than outcome.  I’ve reconnected with my joy in painting and art making.  And I have some exciting dance and movement therapy projects in the works!

I have gratitude, yoga and meditation practices that ground me.  And regularly attend Women’s Walk and Talk.  I’m learning Japanese!  And love to give back where I can, volunteering with the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, Upcycled Exchange (free sewing repairs and community wardrobe) and Queensland Staffy and AmStaff Rescue, as a foster dog carer.  I have lived in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, but also New Zealand and the US.  I am now so grateful to call our beautiful Hervey Bay location and community home.  I would love to share my curiosity and care for the world through HealScapes with you!
